If your club is a PSA member, there are several benefits that are available to the club as an organization (e.g., entering PSA Interclub Competitions) and some recognition that may be earned by individual club members, whether they belong to PSA or not (e.g., awards from the PSA Interclub Competitions).  However, full participation in PSA does not extend to club members, unless they are individual members of PSA.  The club can provide the gift of a PSA membership and the club will be rewarded for referring new PSA members. PSA membership renewal can be problematic, if the Club Rep is not the club President or Treasurer, or happens to travel for long periods.  PSA member clubs are recognized with Membership Milestone Certificates on significant anniversarys of club membership.
Benefits:
Feel free to download and copy these lists to distribute them at a club meeting or to have available for new club members. You can also incorporate them in a club newsletter.

*  Benefits of PSA Membership for Clubs
*  Benefits of PSA Membership for Individuals

The handout below includes the benefits of PSA membership for individuals, directions for applying for PSA membership online, and a mail in application form.

Gift Membership:
If your club is looking for a gift for a speaker or judge, or needs a raffle item, consider giving the gift of a PSA membership.  A PSA gift membership includes a $5 PSA pin and comes packaged in a presentation folder.  The club is listed as the one who referred the person receiving the gift.  The linked pdf includes all the details and can be used in your club newsletter or on the club web site.

Referring New
Members:
PSA has a Membership Star Program to recognize individuals and clubs who refer new PSA Members:  click   A club that refers five new PSA members in a calendar year may then give a "gift" PSA membership to someone who is not a PSA member.  This is a good incentive/reward for a new club member who is succeeding in club competitions.
Renewing Club Membership:
To solve the potential problem of not renewing the club's PSA Membership:
  * a club may save some money and pay their club membership for two or three years at one time, or
  * the club may go on Automatic Renewal using a club member's credit card and reimbursing the club member.

Milestones:
Each year PSA recognizes those long-term individuals, clubs, and councils that met a significant membership anniversary during the previous year.  The names are listed in the PSA Journal and the members receive a commemorative certificate from the PSA President which can be framed.  Presention of this certificate should be photographed and posted on the club web site and the PSA Region webpage.
